MR CHAN HENG FAI
Executive Chairman

An accomplished global business veteran of more than 40 years Mr. Chan Heng Fai specializes in financial restructuring and corporate transformation to unlock value and unleash entrepreneurial zeal while managing risk. He has successfully restructured more than 35 corporations in different industries and countries.

Some of the remarkable companies that he has built, rescued or transformed include American Pacific Bank (USA), China Gas Holdings Limited and Heng Fai Enterprises Limited both (listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong), Global Med Technologies, Inc. (U.S. medical software company exited for US$60 million), Singhaiyi Group Ltd (listed on the Singapore Exchange). MOE CHAN
Executive Director

He was previously the Group Chief Development Officer and Executive Director of Singapore Exchange-listed Alset International Limited and was responsible for the Group’s international property development business.

He was previously the Group Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong Exchange-listed ZH International Holdings Ltd (formerly known as Heng Fai Enterprises Ltd), responsible for the company’s global business operations consisting of REIT ownership and management, property development, hotels and hospitality, as well as property and securities investment and trading. Prior to that he was Executive Director and Chief of Project Development of Singapore Exchange-listed SingHaiyi Group Ltd, overseeing all of its property development projects.

​Mr. Moe Chan has a diverse background and experience in the fields of property, hospitality, investment, technology and consumer finance. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with honours from the University of Western Ontario, a Master’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering with honours and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science with honours from the University of British Columbia.

CHARLEY MACKENZIE 
Director and CEO

Charles MacKenzie was appointed our Chief Development Officer in December 2019. Mr. MacKenzie has served as a member of the Board of Directors of LiquidValue Development since December 2017. He has served as Chief Executive Officer-United States of Alset EHome Inc. since April 2020 and has served as the Chief Development Officer for SeD Development Management, a subsidiary of Alset EHome Inc., since July 2015. Mr. MacKenzie also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Alset EHome Inc. since October 2017. He was previously the Chief Development Officer for Inter-American Development (IAD), a subsidiary of Heng Fai Enterprises Limited (now known as Zensun Enterprises Limited) from April 2014 to June 2015. Mr. MacKenzie was the owner of Smartbox Portable Storage, a residential moving and storage company, from October 2006 to a successful sale in February 2017. Mr. MacKenzie focuses on acquisitions and development of residential and mixed-use projects within the United States. Mr. MacKenzie specializes in site selection, contract negotiations, marketing and feasibility analysis, construction and management oversight, building design, and investor relations. Mr. MacKenzie received a B.A. and graduate degree from St. Lawrence University, where he served on Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2007.

MELISSA K. SIMS
Independent Director

Melissa, originally from a small town in North Central Illinois, pursued a legal career after graduating from Illinois State University. During law school, she gained practical experience at the Bureau County Sheriff’s Department and as a legal advocate at Freedom House, a domestic violence shelter. She received an appointment from the Illinois Supreme Court, allowing her to practice law while studying.

​

After earning her law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law, she joined the Wimbiscus Law Firm in Spring Valley, Illinois, amassing over two decades of diverse legal experience, ranging from corporate law to municipal cases. Notably, she set a national precedent in a Superfund site case.

​

Now, Melissa runs her own law practice in Illinois, with offices in Chicago and downstate Illinois. She represents communities nationally, specializing in municipal law and public nuisance cases. Outside her legal work, Melissa serves on various boards and volunteers for local nonprofit organizations.

WONG SHUI YEUNG

Mr. Wong is a practising member and fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has over 20 years’ experience in accounting, auditing, corporate finance, corporate investment and development, and company secretarial practice. Mr. Wong has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of SMI Holdings Group Limited, the shares of which are listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited since 13 April 2017.

Independent Director

William Wu is a managing director of Investment Banking at Glory Sun Securities Limited. Previously, he was executive director and chief executive officer of Power Financial Group Limited and has served as a director of Asia Allied Infrastructure Holdings Limited, as a director and chief executive officer of RHB Hong Kong Limited and as the chief executive officer of SW Kingsway Capital Holdings Limited (now known as Sunwah Kingsway Capital Holdings Limited).Mr. Wu holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree of Simon Fraser University in Canada. He was qualified as a chartered financial analyst of The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts in 1996.

Mr. Wu previously worked for a number of international investment banks and possesses more than 26 years of experience in the investment banking, capital markets, institutional brokerage and direct investment businesses. He is a registered license holder to carry out Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong). Mr. Wu has served as a member of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in January 2013. Mr. Wu’s experience in banking, capital markets, investment banking, Asian economic and banking dynamics, and education in corporate finance and asset management qualifies him to serve on the Company’s Board.

Joanne Wong Hiu Pan currently serves as Director and Responsible Officer (SFC) at BMI Funds Management Limited ('BMIF'), a leading Financial Advisor in Hong Kong. BMIF, licensed by the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission ('HKSFC') and Insurance Authority ('HKIA'), provides financial advisory services, including general insurance, long-term insurance, and investment-linked insurance. Ms. Wong also serves as Director of A-link Services Limited, a consulting company specializing in providing tailored solutions for clients' needs. Additionally, she serves as Senior Consultant at Global Intelligence Trust (‘GIT’), offering professional trust services to individuals and institutions in Hong Kong. With extensive expertise in various industries, Ms. Wong is a CUHK graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Her background includes executive management, educational, and operational experience.
